Andrea Azurdia is a singer/songwriter who reached out to me for help with her first album. She was really excited when she shared her vision and the look she wanted for her album. The overall message of this design was to show that she is a “vessel” being filled. So the final decision was to for a double exposure treatment to the main image.

Original Photo

The original photo required small touch ups, removing some wrinkles on her shirt, and cleaning up the edge of her hair.

3D Fluid Dynamics, Physics, and Rendering

In Blender, I rendered the falling water to achieve the “Double Exposure” effect in the final design. I used a combination of physics, rigid bodies, and collision and modeling for the glass bowl.

This is how I experimented with some of the water physics in Blender. I was really excited to share this behind the scenes process to my client, showing here the endless possibilities with her album art vision.
